Information for Veterinary Clinics and Laboratories to Join CAVSNET
Information for Veterinary Practices
Currently, the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center and approximately 115 small animal general practices participate in CAVSNET.
We are working hard to extend compliancy with additional electronic health record systems. If your clinic is interested in participating, contact us and we can advocate to software companies together on why they should partner with us. Please also complete this short survey to indicate which software your clinic uses.
Data are submitted automatically and without time or effort required from the veterinary staffing team. The benefits of knowing more about pet animal disease in this country are huge. We can target interventions to those animals most at risk, we can identify risk factors for disease, and we can focus veterinary research efforts.
How can my practice join CAVSNET?
If you are using a CAVSNET-compatible electronic health records system, joining CAVSNET is easy.
Step 1: Contact CAVSNET ([email protected]) to receive an electronic copy of the project information and veterinary practice agreement form, which can be signed electronically.
Step 2: Before signing, feel free to ask the CAVSNET Team any questions you have.
Step 3: Once you have returned the signed consent form, CAVSNET will contact you to arrange a convenient date for CAVSNET to start in your practice.
If your electronic health record software is not CAVSNET-compatible, please let us know and we can communicate this interest to your software company.
